Cleveland Browns • Oklahoma State DE Emmanuel Ogbah

After considering another trade, the Cleveland Browns selected Oklahoma State defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah with the No. 32 overall pick in the NFL draft.

The first selection in the second round brought offers from other teams, but the Browns, who twice traded down in the first round, stayed put and grabbed Ogbah, an edge rusher who had 13 sacks last season and 24 in the past two years.

The 6-foot-4, 273-pound Ogbah should improve Cleveland's pass rush. The Browns recorded just 29 sacks last season.

Ogbah has been timed at 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash and fits the profile of Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton, who says he likes "big guys who can run."

The Browns have three more picks in the third round to use Friday.

Tennessee Titans • Clemson LB Kevin Dodd

The Tennessee Titans have selected Clemson linebacker Kevin Dodd with the 33rd pick overall, giving coordinator Dick LeBeau another piece for his improving defense.

The Titans made the selection Friday night with their first of three picks in the second round.

Tennessee improved as a defense last season with LeBeau working with then-coordinator Ray Horton. The Titans ranked 12th in yards allowed but just 27th in points given up. Horton left for Cleveland, and LeBeau now is running the defense.

Dodd played defensive end at Clemson, but the Titans see him as outside linebacker in LeBeau's 3-4 scheme.

The 6-foot-5, 277-pound Dodd had 12 sacks and 26 ½ tackles for loss in his career.

The Titans selected Michigan State offensive lineman Jack Conklin in the first round on Thursday.

Dallas Cowboys • Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith

The Dallas Cowboys have taken Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith with the 34th overall pick in the second round of the NFL draft.

Smith isn't expected to play in 2016 after tearing ligaments in his left knee in his final college game against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. He skipped his final season of eligibility despite the injury.

The Cowboys went defense with their first pick Friday night after staying away from their biggest needs with the fourth overall pick on opening night and getting Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Dallas can afford to give Smith a year to heal with middle linebacker Rolando McClain returning for a second season and oft-injured Sean Lee coming off his first Pro Bowl season in 2015.

San Diego Chargers • Arkansas TE Hunter Henry

The San Diego Chargers have taken Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry in the second round of the NFL draft.

Henry caught 116 passes for 1,661 yards and nine touchdowns in 38 career games.

He was a consensus first team All-American and John Mackey Award winner as the nation's top tight end after setting career-highs with 51 receptions and 739 yards, with three touchdowns. He had no recorded dropped passes in 2015.

The Chargers now have six tight ends on their roster.

Jacksonville Jaguars • UCLA LB Myles Jack

The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected UCLA linebacker Myles Jack with the 36th overall pick in the NFL draft, landing a speedy player with huge upside who is recovering from a serious knee injury.

If Jack returns to form, the Jaguars could have the steal of the draft.

Jacksonville traded up two spots to get Jack, who had been widely projected to go early in the first round. The Jaguars traded the 38th and 146th (fifth round) overall picks to Baltimore to grab Jack.

Jack tore the meniscus in his right knee on Sept. 23 and missed the remainder of the season. He left school in early October to rehab in Phoenix.

Jack said earlier this week that he could possibly need micro-fracture surgery down the road. The Jaguars examined his knee and worked him out a few weeks before the draft, and clearly didn't have enough concerns to pass on him.

Kansas City Chiefs • Mississippi State DT Chris Jones

The Kansas City Chiefs chose versatile defensive tackle Chris Jones from Mississippi State with the sixth pick in the second round of the NFL draft on Friday night.

The Chiefs had traded their first-round choice to San Francisco on Thursday night for a package that included the No. 37 overall pick, plus selections in the fourth and sixth rounds.

The 6-foot-6, 308-pound Jones provides depth along the defensive line after the retirement of veteran Mike DeVito this offseason. He also gives the Chiefs some bargaining leverage with defensive tackle Dontari Poe, whose contract expires after next season.

Chiefs general manager John Dorsey had expressed his admiration of UCLA linebacker Myles Jack on Thursday night, but Jacksonville moved up to take him one pick ahead of Kansas City.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers • Eastern Kentucky DE Noah Spence

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have addressed the need for a pass rusher with the selection of Eastern Kentucky's Noah Spence in the second round of the NFL draft.

Spence was the eighth player selected Friday night, No. 39 overall. He began his college career at Ohio State, but wound up at Eastern Kentucky because of off-the-field issues that kept him being a first-round pick.

The Bucs are using the draft to re-tool a defense that allowed opponents to complete 70 percent of passes and throw for 31 touchdowns last season. Part of the problem was an inconsistent pass rush.

General manager Jason Licht and first-year coach Dirk Koetter began the defensive overhaul with the signings of end Robert Ayers, cornerback Brent Grimes and linebacker Daryl Smith in free agency. They selected cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III with the 11th overall pick on the opening day of the draft.

New York Giants • Oklahoma WR Sterlng Shepard

The New York Giants have taken Oklahoma wide receiver Sterling Shepard in the second round of the NFL draft.

The receiver spot was one of the biggest needs for the Giants heading into the draft after losing Rueben Randle to free agency and uncertainty about the status of Victor Cruz, who has only played six games in the last two seasons, including none last year.

Shepard is a slot receiver to complement the threat posed by Odell Beckham Jr.

Eli Manning lacked a second go-to guy last season with Randle having an off year.

Shepard had 86 receptions for 1,288 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season and finished his career with 233 receptions for 3,482 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills • Alabama LB Reggie Ragland

The Buffalo Bills traded up eight spots in the second round to select Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland with the 41st pick in the NFL draft on Friday night.

The Bills acquired the selection from the Chicago Bears, and gave up their first of two fourth-round picks (117th overall) this year, and a fourth-round pick next year.

Ragland is listed at 6-foot-1 and 247 pounds and was the SEC's defensive player of the year last season.

In selecting Ragland, the Bills continued filling needs in revamping what had been an under-performing defense last year.

Buffalo opened the draft by selecting Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson with the 19th pick on Thursday. The Bills already have him listed as a linebacker.

Buffalo has five selections left, including a third-rounder, 80th overall.

Detroit Lions • Alabama DT A'Shawn Robinson

The Detroit Lions have selected Alabama defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson in the second round of the NFL draft.

Detroit drafted Robinson on Friday night with the No. 46 overall pick to address another pressing need.

The Lions also did that on Thursday night, taking Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker in the middle of the first round. They drafted Decker to help the team protect Matthew Stafford better when he passes and to improve the league's worst rushing offense.

Detroit went into the three-day draft with 10 selections, including a pair in the fifth round and a trio of slots in the sixth round.

Rookie general manager Bob Quinn acknowledges he plans to avoid risky picks this year.

New Orleans Saints • Ohio State receiver Michael Thomas

The New Orleans Saints have selected Ohio State receiver Michael Thomas with their second-round pick in the NFL draft on Friday night.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Thomas, who was picked 47th overall, caught 56 passes for 781 yards and nine touchdowns last season for the Buckeyes. His selection comes a few months after the Saints released the franchise's all-time leading receiver, Marques Colston.

Thomas adds depth to a receiver core currently led by Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman, and gives quarterback Drew Brees a tall target with a 33-inch vertical leap.

Thomas was among Ohio State's top receivers the past two seasons, winning a 2014 national title with the Buckeyes.

The Saints used their first-round pick on Thursday night to select former Louisville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins.

Green Bay Packers • Indiana T Jason Spriggs

The Packers traded up in the second round of the NFL draft to add offensive line depth, taking tackle Jason Spriggs out of Indiana.

Green Bay moved up nine spots on Saturday to the 48th overall pick in the draft by dealing three picks to Indianapolis. The Colts received the Packers' second-rounder, the 57th pick overall, along with selections in the fourth and seventh rounds.

The 6-foot-7 Spriggs made 47 starts at left tackle for Indiana. He allowed just two sacks in 475 pass attempts in his senior year last season.

The addition of Spriggs gives the Packers some insurance at a position that could see turnover after the season, when the contracts of guards Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang, as well as left tackle David Bakhtiari, expire.

Baltimore Ravens • Boise State LB Kamalei Correa

The Baltimore Ravens have selected Boise State linebacker Kamalei Correa with the 42nd overall pick in the NFL draft.

Correa entered the draft after a junior year in which he had seven sacks. Baltimore hopes the 6-foot-3, 243-pound outside linebacker will supplement a pass rush that was lacking last season.

The selection came after a busy Friday night of dealing by general manager Ozzie Newsome. Baltimore was slotted 36th overall, but Newsome made deals with Jacksonville and Miami to gain extra picks later in the draft.

First, Newsome swapped second-round selections with Jacksonville and gained a fifth-round pick. Then he traded second-round picks with Miami and secured a fourth-round choice from the Dolphins.

Earlier Tuesday, the Ravens introduced their top draft pick, Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, the sixth overall pick.

Oakland Raiders • Illinois DE Jihad Ward

The Oakland Raiders selected Illinois defensive end Jihad Ward with the 44th overall pick in the NFL draft on Friday.

Ward had 104 tackles with 4 ½ sacks and 12 tackles for losses during two seasons with the Illini. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Ward suffered a knee injury during the first week of practice in August and was expected to miss time recovering but wound up playing in all 12 games.

The Raiders' decision to draft Ward comes amid uncertainty over the health of second-year defensive end Mario Edwards Jr., a second-round pick last year who suffered a neck injury late during his rookie season.

Oakland has used its first two picks on defense after finishing 22nd overall under first-year coach Jack Del Rio. The Raiders drafted West Virginia safety Karl Joseph with their first-round pick.

Seattle Seahawks • Alabama DT Jarran Reed

fter addressing the offensive line in the first round, the Seattle Seahawks moved to the other side of the line of scrimmage by taking Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed in the second round of the NFL draft.

Seattle traded up seven spots to draft Reed on Friday night. The Seahawks were slated to have the No. 56 overall pick, but moved up to No. 49 after a deal with Chicago. The Seahawks also gave up a fourth-round pick to make the move.

Seattle general manager John Schneider said after the first round that the defensive line was the other consideration for the Seahawks when they picked at No. 31 overall. Reed is a major fit after the Seahawks lost run-stopping defensive tackle Brandon Mebane in free agency. He was a second-team all-SEC selection as a senior at Alabama.

Houston Texans • Notre Dame center Nick Martin

The Houston Texans have traded with Atlanta to move up two spots and take Notre Dame center Nick Martin with the 50th overall pick in the NFL draft.

The Texans gave up their sixth-round pick at No. 195 to the Falcons. It's the second Notre Dame player Houston has chosen in this draft after trading up one spot to take Fighting Irish receiver Will Fuller with the 21st pick in the first round on Thursday night.

The Texans had a need at center after they lost Ben Jones in free agency to the Titans. Jones started every game at center for Houston over the past two seasons.

The 6-foot-4, 299-pound Martin is the younger broker of Zack Martin, who was a first-round pick by the Cowboys in 2014 and a two-time Pro-Bowler at guard.

New York Jets • Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg

The New York Jets have selected Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg with their second-round pick in the NFL draft.

With Ryan Fitzpatrick still unsigned and in a contract stalemate with the Jets, New York added another quarterback to the roster in Hackenberg. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Hackenberg threw 16 touchdowns with six interceptions last season for the Nittany Lions.

The Jets also have Geno Smith, the former starter who was a second-rounder in 2013, and Bryce Petty, a fourth-rounder last year, at quarterback.

General manager Mike Maccagnan said leading up to the draft that the Jets would likely take a quarterback at some point, and insisted Fitzpatrick's situation wouldn't affect that approach.

New York drafted Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee in the first round with the 20th overall pick Thursday night.

Washington • LB/Safety Su'a Cravens

Washington has selected hybrid linebacker/safety Su'a Cravens from USC with the 53rd pick in the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-1, 226-pound Cravens could be an outside linebacker or play in the secondary in the NFL and would match up well against tight ends.

Cravens led the Trojans with 86 tackles and 5 ½ sacks and also had two interceptions last season.

Washington turned its attention to defense in the second round after using its first-rounder Thursday on TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson, who gives quarterback Kirk Cousins a legitimate red-zone threat.

Minnesota Vikings • Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander

The Minnesota Vikings have drafted Clemson defensive back Mackensie Alexander with the 54th overall pick in the second round on Friday.

The 5-foot-10 Alexander played cornerback at Clemson. He comes to a team coached by Mike Zimmer, who has long had a reputation for developing cornerbacks. He left school after his redshirt sophomore season in which he helped the Tigers reach the national championship game.

He had eight tackles for loss and six pass breakups last season.

Alexander joins Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell in the Vikings rookie draft class. Treadwell was the 23rd overall pick in the first round on Thursday.

The Vikings also had the 86th overall draft choice in the third round on Friday night.

Atlanta Falcons • LSU linebacker Deion Jones

The Atlanta Falcons have taken LSU linebacker Deion Jones in the second round of the NFL draft to shore up a pass rush that's been among the NFL's worst over the last three years.

Jones joins Florida safety Keanu Neal, drafted 17th overall, as second-year coach Dan Quinn seeks upgrades in the front seven.

Jones was a team captain last season, leading LSU in tackles and in stops for lost yardage. He added five sacks, two interceptions and three pass breakups.

The Falcons moved down two spots in a trade with Houston to take Jones and add a sixth-round pick.

Atlanta has ranked no higher than 28th in sacks since 2012.

Cincinnati Bengals • Pitt WR Tyler Boyd

The Bengals filled their biggest hole by taking Pitt receiver Tyler Boyd in the second round of the NFL draft on Friday night.

They lost two of their top three receivers to free agency — Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu — and hoped to get a pass catcher in the first round. Instead, the top four receivers were taken before they got a chance. They decided to pick cornerback William Jackson III at 24th overall on Thursday night — the third time in the last five years that they got a cornerback with their top choice.

With plenty of defensive players available in the second round, they took Boyd with the 55th overall pick.

Chicago Bears • Kansas State G Cody Whitehair

The Chicago Bears have drafted Kansas State guard Cody Whitehair with the 56th pick after trading down twice in the second round on Friday night.

The Bears selected Whitehair after a flurry of moves that started with them trading the 41st pick to Buffalo for the No. 49 selection plus fourth-rounders this year and in 2017. After Green Bay traded up with Indianapolis to take Indiana offensive tackle Jason Spriggs, Chicago made another move. The Bears sent the 49th pick to Seattle for No. 56 and a fourth-rounder.

The 6-foot-4, 301-pound Whitehair was a four-year starter who played both guard and tackle at Kansas State.

Chicago, 6-10 last season, drafted Georgia outside linebacker Leonard Floyd with the ninth pick on Thursday.

Indianapolis Colts • Clemson safety T.J. Green

The Colts decided to get younger in their secondary by selecting safety T.J. Green with the No. 57 overall pick in the second round of the NFL draft Friday night.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Clemson defensive back was a former wide receiver who switched to the defensive side of the ball. Green surprised scouts at the NFL combine with a 4.34 second 40-yard dash. Veteran safety Mike Adams is entering the final year of his contract with Indianapolis.

Green recorded 95 tackles and one interception in 2015. Green started all 15 games in 2015 and 10 games in 2014 for the Tigers.

On Thursday night, the Colts took the first step in fulfilling their needs on the offensive line when they took Alabama center Ryan Kelly.

The Colts traded their second round pick, 48th overall, to the Packers for their second round pick and nabbed a fourth and seventh round pick from Green Bay in the deal.

Pittsburgh Steelers • DB Sean Davis

The Pittsburgh Steelers took another step toward overhauling their secondary, taking defensive back Sean Davis out of Maryland in the second round of the NFL draft on Friday night.

Davis has the size at 6-foot-1 to play both cornerback and safety for the Steelers, who selected cornerback Artie Burns out of Miami in the first round on Thursday night. Davis tied for the team lead with three interceptions in 2015 and led Maryland with 70 solo tackles.

Davis will have a chance to come in and play right away for the Steelers, who are looking for help alongside safety Mike Mitchell. Pittsburgh's pass defense ranked 30th in the league in 2015, a weak spot on a team that went 11-7 and made the playoffs for a second straight year.
