California is the first-round leader in the Pac-12 men's golf tournament at The Country Club of Salt Lake City, two strokes ahead of two-time defending champion Stanford.  The second round of the 72-hole event is under way Friday afternoon. Utah, the host school, stands 11th.  With five of six players' scores counting in each round, Cal shot 5-under-par 350 in the morning round. The Bears' K.K. Limbhasult posted a 5-under-par 66 and is tied for the individual lead with Stanford's Franklin Huang. UCLA's Jonathan Garrick, Cal's Sebastian Crompton and Colorado's Jeremy Paul are next at 67. Stanford's David Boote (68) and Maverick McNealy (69) contributed to Stanford's 352 total.  Other team scores: USC 356, UCLA 358, Arizona State 359, Colorado and Washington 360, Arizona 361, Oregon and Oregon State 370, Utah 378 and Washington State 380.  Utah's scores included a 74 by Jonathon Thomas, a 75 by Nathan Wunderli, 76s by Steven Croft and Jose Pelayo and 77s by Gentry Hicks and Brandon Kida, the Utes' No. 1 player.  – Kurt Kragthorpe
