Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward will participate in a USA Basketball Showcase this summer ahead of the Olympics as one of the 31 finalists for the Rio 2016 U.S. Men's National Team.

The Showcase will feature five exhibition games in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago and Houston against Argentina, China twice, Venezuela and Nigeria, respectively. The exhibition is scheduled from July 22 to Aug. 1 ahead of the team's first Olympic contest against China on Aug. 6 in Rio de Janeiro.

Hayward helped Team USA to a gold medal in the FIBA Under-19 World Championships in New Zealand in 2009, but was one of the last cuts before World Cup action in 2014.
