Fresno's Danny Worth hit a grand slam home run during a five-run fourth inning, leading the Grizzlies to a 6-0 victory over Salt Lake on Wednesday night at Smith's Ballpark. In a game delayed two hours at the start by rain, the Bees slipped to 5-2 this season.

Turning Point • Fresno broke the game open in the fourth. After Salt Lake pitcher Yunesky Maya walked in one run, Worth turned on an inside fastball and ripped his two-out grand slam to left, making it 6-0. A catcher's interference on Juan Graterol and throwing error by first baseman Kyle Kubitza helped extend the inning.

Bees MVP • Just 3 for 19 going into the game, left fielder Nick Buss had two of Salt Lake's five hits. He singled to lead off the second. He also led off the seventh with a single.

Hidden Hero • Fresno starter Tommy Shirley was outstanding. The left-hander allowed three hits in five innings to earn his first victory over the season. He struck out four, walked one and threw 82 pitches, including 50 strikes.

Flashing Leather • With two on and two out in the top of the first inning, Fresno's Jon Singleton hit a line drive to center. Salt Lake's Rafael Ortega raced in and made a running catch to retire the side.

Quoteworthy • Asked what he must do this season to return to the big leagues, Salt Lake infielder Kaleb Cowart said, "Consistency at the plate. That's the thing with almost every baseball player: how consistent can you be at the plate? Do that and move around a little bit — be able to play a few positions so I can help the big league team any way I can."

Angel Angle • After the parent Los Angeles Angels returned pitcher A.J. Achter to Salt Lake and infielder Rey Navarro came off the inactive list, second baseman Alex Yarbrough and pitcher Zach Nuding were sent to Double-A Arkansas.

History Lesson • On April 13, 1999, David Ortiz hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lead Salt Lake to a 2-1 win over Tacoma. Four Buzz pitchers combined on a seven hitter. Kevin Ohme was the winner. Brent Stentz earned a save.
