Wasatch Academy's boys' basketball team is headed to the Big Apple.

The Tigers, who have spent the past several weeks nationally ranked in USA Today's Super 25, have accepted one of the eight spots to compete in Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals in New York.

Wasatch Academy, at No. 19, is the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, and will face No. 3 Oak Hill Academy from Virginia at 2 p.m. on March 31. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

All four quarterfinal games are scheduled for March 31 at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y., with the semifinals on April 1 at the same location, but aired on ESPN2. The championship will be played at noon on ESPN on April 2 from Madison Square Garden.

The Tigers, who played an independent schedule and did not compete for a local state championship, finished the season 29-3 after averaging 76 points per game, with an average margin of victory exceeding 18 points per game.

Two of the Tigers' losses were to No. 2 Montverde Academy (Fla.) and No. 6 Findlay Prep (Nev.), both of which are in the tournament, while No. 12 La Lumiere (Ind.), which Wasatch Academy defeated, is also in the field.

No. 11 St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.), No. 17 Miller Grove (Ga.), which lost to Lone Peak in the preseason, and No. 18 Providence Day (N.C.) round out the bracket.
