Moscow, Id. • Victor Sanders scored 14 points for the Vandals in Idaho's 62-58 victory over Weber State.

Jeremy Senglin and Joel Bolomboy led the Wildcats, with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Idaho had a two-point advantage in the final eight seconds. Two free throws from Perrion Callandret and a missed 3-pointer by Bolomboy solidified their lead.

Weber State's Richaud Gittens had 3 3-pointers.

Weber State dropped to 22-8 overall and 14-3 in the Big Sky Conference, and is now tied for first place with Montana.

Sacramento State 69, SUU 63 OT • Nick Hornsby led four Hornets in double-digit scoring in their win over the Thunderbirds.

Hornsby scored 16 points and Justin Strings contributed 14 points and 9 rebounds for Sacramento State (12-16, 5-12 Big Sky).

The Thunderbirds were led by Trey Kennedy's 15 points. Daniel Melinonwu grabbed 8 rebounds for SUU (5-22, 3-14).

Baseball

Utah Valley 8, Washington State 0 • Danny Beddes pitched six innings for the Wolverines as Utah Valley shut out Washington State in its opener of a four-game road series.

Beddes allowed just three hits. Patrick Wolfe pitched two innings and Garrett Bowman pitched the ninth.

Utah Valley snapped a six-game losing streak in the seies against Washington State and improved to 5-5 for the season.

Softball

BYU 15, Mount St. Mary's 6 • The Cougars scored six of their runs in the second inning and held control of the lead to win. Coco Tauali'i Bond hit a homer and scored two additional runs.

BYU 4, No. 15 Arizona 2 • McKenna Bull pitched in BYU's second win of the day over Arizona (11-6). Libby Sugg and Tauali'i Bond scored home runs for BYU (11-6).

UNLV 6, SUU 1 • Morgan Leonard scored the sole run for the Thunderbirds in their loss to UNLV. Jamie DePippo scored a home run to left field for the Rebels (9-8). SUU dropped to a 3-15 record.
