BYU received two unexpected visits on Saturday from Herriman's Leki Fotu and Cottonwood's Fua Pututau, both of whom are considered three-star defensive end prospects by several recruiting outlets.

Fotu is currently committed to the University of Utah, while Pututau tweeted his top-five preferred destinations as Utah, Washington, Oregon State, Washington State and Colorado on Dec. 4 before Kalani Sitake was appointed as the head coach at BYU. According to Cottonwood coach Mike Tidwell, Sitake made Pututau a priority recruit while coaching at Oregon State and has continued that approach. Pututau has since canceled his scheduled official visit to Corvallis in favor of Provo this weekend, according to Tidwell, who also said Pututau and fellow three-star defensive end from Cottonwood, Pookie Maka, will officially visit Utah next weekend together and Colorado in the following weekend.

Fotu received an official offer from BYU on Thursday, and when UCLA backed out of its recruitment, it freed up an opportunity to visit Provo. Fotu is scheduled to officially visit USC next week and Utah the following weekend.
