Estero, Fla. • Jeremy Senglin scored a career-high 34 points, including a career-best eight 3-pointers, and Weber State beat Drake 74-58 Tuesday night in the second round of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

McKay Cannon scored 14 points, Joel Bolomboy added 12 points and the Wildcats shot 14 of 30 from long distance.

Senglin made three 3-pointers, Cannon sank another 3 and Weber State (3-2) surged early in the second half to a 47-34 lead.

Drake led 10-5, then the Wildcats started hitting 3s. Richaud Gittens and Cannon each sank two 3s amid an 18-2 run for a lead. Drake's Graham Woodward replied with two 3-pointers and Reed Timmer hit a layup to pull the Bulldogs within 23-22, but Weber State outscored them 8-4 late to lead at halftime.
