Brittany Bowe and Heather Bergsma are at it again.

The two American long-track speedskaters each set new world records within minutes of one another in last weekend's 2015-16 ISU World Cup season opener in Calgary.

The two Olympians and newly minted world-record holders return to their home ice this weekend for the second stop of the World Cup circuit at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, Nov. 20-22.

Bowe and Bergsma paced the U.S. last weekend as the Americans won eight total medals in the first World Cup event of the season. Bowe snapped the longest-standing women's world record by skating the 1,500 meters in 1:51.59, a record set by Canadian Cindy Klassen in Nov. 2005.

Bergsma, formerly known as Heather Richardson, recently married Dutch skater Jorrit Bergsma. She set a new world record in the women's 1,000 meters last weekend, skating a 1:12.51, breaking a record set by Bowe in 2013.

In all, 244 speedskaters from 28 countries will compete in this weekend's World Cup stop in Kearns. This is the first long-track World Cup event hosted by the Utah Olympic Oval since 2013.

The U.S. long-track team features 11 Olympians this season. Two-time Olympic gold medalist Shani Davis is coming off a strong finish to his season last year, winning the gold in the men's 1,000 meters at the World Championships.

Davis finished fifth in the 1,000 meters in Calgary and eighth in the 1,500 meters. American Joey Mantia finished third in the men's 1,500 meters last weekend.

"Team USA is coming off an incredibly successful ISU World Cup in Calgary and we hope to see more world records falling this weekend on the 'Fastest ice on earth,' at the Utah Olympic Oval," U.S. speedskating executive director Ted Morris said in a release. "Athletes from around the world love coming to Salt Lake City because of the great job our partners at the Utah Olympic Oval do hosting elite international events."
