The Salt Lake Bees will open the 2016 season on April 7 at Smith's Ballpark against the Sacramento River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.

The 144-game schedule was announced Tuesday by the Pacific Coast League.

The Bees will play 15 home games in April, 17 in May, 11 in July, 15 in August and five in September. Highlighting the home schedule will be games on Memorial Day (Nashville), Pioneer Day (Tacoma) and Labor Day (Las Vegas).

The Bees will play Pacific Conference opponents Fresno, Reno, Sacramento, Tacoma, Albuquerque, El Paso and Las Vegas 16 times — eight at home and eight on the road.

Salt Lake will play four games at Smith's Ballpark against American Conference opponents Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans and Round Rock. The Bees will also play four games at Colorado Springs, Iowa, Oklahoma City and Omaha.

The Bees' first game of the year will be March 22, when they play the parent Los Angeles Angels in a split-squad spring training exhibition.
