Cedar City • Ammon Olsen threw five touchdown passes as Southern Utah remained undefeated in the Big Sky with a 44-0 win over Sacramento State on Saturday night.

Olsen had 421 yards passing for the Thunderbirds (4-2, 3-0). Malik Brown ran for 105 yards. Southern Utah amassed 562 in total yards and held Sacramento State to just 187 yards.

Mike Sharp caught two scoring passes and Justin Brown caught another in the first quarter to give the Thunderbirds a 21-0 lead at the break.

Late in the third quarter, Olsen hit Brown once more for a 48-yard touchdown and Keita Calhoun followed with a 25-yard field goal to make it 31-0.

Three plays into the Thunderbirds' next possession, Olsen again found Sharp for a 50-yard scoring pass with just under a minute left in the third, sealing the win.

Nate Ketteringham had 117 yards passing with one interception for the Hornets (1-6, 0-4).
