Park City might just have one senior on its girls' tennis team, but the Miners put themselves in a great position to win the state 3A tennis title Friday at Liberty Park

The Miners didn't lose a match in the first two rounds of the meet and carry a 10-9 lead over Grantsville going into Saturday's final two rounds. Desert Hills was third, while defending champion Pine View was tied with Logan for fourth.

Saturday promises to be a busy day at Liberty Park, with Class 5A, 4A and 3A tennis crowns on the line.

Park City freshmen Livi and Gabby Rockwood advanced in No. 1 and 2 singles as did sophomore Taylor Matz.

The Miners' No. 1 doubles team of Marina Mayo and Julianna Signor advanced as did No. 2 team Caleigh Lydon and Maria Zanetti.
