Ann Arbor • We don't know the starting quarterback, kicker, punter or receivers, at least not officially. But we know the coach, and we're vaguely familiar with the hype.

This is where it intersects, in the Wasatch Mountain Range of Utah. Jim Harbaugh has thrust Michigan back to relevance, which isn't the same as prominence. As the Wolverines launch their third Bold New Era in seven years, the only certainty is the famous coach's choice of pants.

Michigan will rebound under Harbaugh, that's a near-certainty. But it's unclear when or how it will happen. Will transfer quarterback Jake Rudock lead the way? Will acclaimed Jabrill Peppers make an impact at multiple positions?
