#1 Make a Difference in Girls' Lives

Girl Scout volunteers play a huge role in providing girls with fun opportunities for adventure, friendship, and self-discovery that they can't get anywhere else. By being an influential leader and role model, volunteers help prepare the next generation of women to be better mothers, income-earners, leaders and friends.

#2 Build Your Network

Through Girl Scouts, volunteers make new friends and expand their professional networks because they get to meet other volunteers from their community, city, state – even across the country – who share a passion for inspiring girls of courage, confidence and character.

#3 Pass On a Skill or Passion

Do you love to dance? Consider yourself a shutterbug? Have a knack for marketing? As a volunteer there are many opportunities for you to share your talents with the next generation and experience the excitement that comes when girls discover they have a new skill that will last a lifetime.

#4 Exposure to New Experiences

Girl Scouts provides volunteers and girls with the opportunity to discover and try new things that they may have otherwise missed. Taking on new challenges helps the volunteers grow and learn; and when girls see you succeed, you become a role model that is confident and courageous.

#5 It's Fun and Rewarding!

Volunteers are Girl Scouts too! Girl Scout troops are girl-led. They make their own decisions and plan their own experiences. Troop leaders simply facilitate the fun!
