Former BYU guard Tyler Haws will play this season with Spanish team Obradoiro Clube de Amigos do Baloncesto.

The team, which plays in Galicia in the northwest region of Spain, announced on its website Sunday Haws would join the roster after extending him an offer earlier this summer. Obradoiro CAB competes in the Liga ACB, the first tier Spanish league, along with teams like Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona.

Haws spent the summer playing on the Cleveland Cavaliers' summer league team.

"This is a special player, which also will connect very well with our fans. We are happy with this signing, which the club had long been working (on), Obradoiro CAB CEO José Luis Mateo said in the website's release.

Haws, BYU's all-time leading scorer, averaged 22 points, four rebounds and two assists per game in his senior season at BYU.
