Logan • The Utah State men's basketball team will play at defending national champions Duke University on Nov. 29 as part of the 2015-16 season, the school announced on Tuesday.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU with the starting time to be determined.

First-year head coach Tim Duryea said when he was promoted to the head coaching position that USU would play games where "national television was involved — games that are good for our players and our university."

"I am thrilled for our players to be able to have this opportunity, especially our seniors," Duryea said in a university release. "When you talk about modern day college basketball programs and coaches, Duke and Coach K are the gold standard. To be able to go and compete on a national stage, in one of the cathedrals of college basketball, will be a great experience for our team and it is also a fun way for our fans to be involved as well."

Utah State returns five starters from this past season's team which finished 18-13 and in fourth place in the Mountain West.
