BASEBALL • Oregon rallied for six runs in the eighth inning to beat Utah 8-5 on Saturday in a Pac-12 game at Smith's Ballpark.

Biss Larsen went 2 for 2 with three RBIs for Utah (16-32-1, 7-18-1 Pac-12). Josh Rose and Dallas Carroll each had two hits.

Utah starter Dalton Carroll (5-8) took the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits with two strikeouts over seven innings.

The Utes led 4-2 after seven innings before the Ducks (33-22, 13-13) took the lead in the eighth. A steady rain fell throughout the game.

Utah got on the board in the bottom of the second, tying the game at 1 on a one-out RBI triple from Larsen after Rose walked. Larsen attempted to score on a groundout but was thrown out at home.

A two-out rally helped Utah score two runs in the bottom of the fourth and take a 3-1 lead. Cole Taylor struck out and reached first on a passed ball, which would have been the third out of the inning. Rose followed with a single to right field and Larsen had his second RBI hit of the day, scoring both runners with a double to the gap in left field. Larsen was thrown out at third trying to stretch it into a triple.

BYU 4, Santa Clara 2 • Dillon Robinson and Parker Starr had three hits each, and right fielder Derrick Whitney made a diving catch in the eighth inning as the Cougars beat the host Broncos to clinch a berth in this week's West Coast Conference tournament. Starting pitcher Michael Rucker earned the win for BYU (27-23, 15-11 WCC), holding Santa Clara to two runs on seven hits over 61/3 innings.

Utah Valley 5, Texas-Pan Am 2; Texas-Pan Am 11, Utah Valley 3 • In Edinburg, Texas, UVU's Jordan Schlehuber and Kade Andrus had two hits each, and Jake Marvos drove in two runs as the Wolverines won the opener of the regular season-ending doubleheader. Greyson Bogden homered twice for UVU (18-33, 14-13 Western Athletic Conference) in the second game, but Texas-Pan Am won to earn the split.

Utah State wins five Mountain West titles

TRACK AND FIELD • Utah State's Parker Bluth highlighted a strong showing by the Aggies on the final day of the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in San Diego as the junior captured a pair of individual titles, to go along with a 4x400-meter relay crown.

The Aggies collected five titles overall as senior Chari Hawkins won the women's high jump and junior Cole Lambourne defended his crown in the men's 400-meter race.

Lambourne won the men's 400 with a time of 46.31 seconds.

Bluth won his first gold of the day in the 100 meters in a personal-best 10.34 seconds.

Bluth then won the 200 meters with a school-record time of 20.52. He teamed with Cole Lambourne and freshman Clay Lambourne, as well as Tanner Hunt, to win the 4x400m relay with a time of 3 minutes, 07.48 seconds.

Hawkins' victory in the high jump came with a leap of 1.76 meters.

On the men's side, Utah State finished in fourth place with 105 points. The Aggie women also finished in fourth with 68 points.

The Colorado State men and women won the team titles with 187 and 167 points, respectively.

• In Los Angeles, Utah's Megan Glasmann finished second in the javelin and two Utes broke school records at the Pac-12 Championships. Gasmann had a throw of 166 feet.

Becky Sarmiento set a school record in the 3,000 steeplechase with a 10th-place finish in a time of 10:38.08. Also setting a school record was Alissa Atisme in the 200, coming in 11th in 24.06.

• In Cheney, Washington, Weber State's Mike Hardy placed third in the 5,000 meters in 14:21.98, helping the Wildcats place fourth in the team standings at the Big Sky championships. Dustin Durfee took third in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.28. Stetson Smith took third in the 800 meters in a personal-best 1:51.05.

On the women's side, Jamie Stokes took fourth place in both the 1,500 and 800 meters finals as she ran 4:25.59 and 2:11.82, respectively, and the Wildcats placed eighth. Weber State softball game suspended

Weber State's softball game against Mississippi State in the NCAA regional in Lafayette, La., was suspended by lightning on Saturday night.

The Rebels led 1-0 with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning when the game was delayed.

The game is scheduled to resume at 11 a.m. MDT Sunday.

The Wildcats had their seven-game winning streak broken on Friday night in an 11-0 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette.
