Softball • In Honolulu, Utah extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 10-1 win in six innings over Longwood to open the Hawaii Spring Fling on Thursday afternoon.

Utah (15-4) scored runs in five of six innings, including three runs in the third and sixth innings. The Utes had 14 hits.

Utah was led at the plate by Kristen Stewart, who was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Bridget Castro was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Heather Bowen went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Kate Dickman was 2 for 4.

On the mound, Katie Donovan pitched the first two innings, striking out three and allowing one hit.

Kayce Nieto pitched three innings, allowing four hits with two strikeouts. She picked up her first win of the year. Mariah Ramirez threw the final inning, allowing one run on two hits.

Weber beats Idaho to stay alive in Big Sky

Men's basketball • Joel Bolomboy scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Weber State win at home, 74-63, against Idaho and keep alive its bid for a spot in the Big Sky tournament.

Weber State (13-15, 8-9) is battling for one of three remaining tournament berths and pulled into a three-way tie for sixth place with Idaho and Portland State.

Big inning lifts BYU to win over Hartford

Baseball • In Provo, Kolton Mahoney tied his career high with 11 strikeouts and a five-run fourth inning to give BYU a 6-0 win over Hartford in the home opener Thursday afternoon.

The Cougars improved to 3-10 on the season and 1-0 at Larry H. Miller Field.

WSU falls to Idaho

Women's basketball • The Weber State Women's basketball team couldn't find an effective offensive pace and fell, 71-42, to the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.

Freshman Jocelyn Adams and senior Zakiyyah Shahid-Martin each had seven points for the Wildcats. Sira Toure and Regina Okoye each had six points. Shahid-Martin had a game high of eight rebounds. Okoye had seven steals and broke Weber State's single-season record with 106.

Utah men stand in fifth at Pac-12 champs

Men's swimming & diving • The Utah men's swimming team sits in fifth place with 126 points after Day Two of the 2015 Pac-12 championships at Weyerhaeuser King Country Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.

Stanford took the lead with 288 points. UCLA is in second (248.5), and USC is in third (242.5). Arizona is in fourth with 174 points. Arizona State is in sixth (111).
