Men's basketball • Weber State dropped its final regular season road game, falling 74-63 at Montana Saturday night in Missoula.

The Wildcats now sit at play with three games remaining. WSU remains in eighth place in the league standings, a half game behind Idaho and a half game ahead of Southern Utah.

Weber State (11-15, 6-9 Big Sky) jumped out to an early lead and took its largest lead of the game at 24-16 with 6:21 to play in the first half. From there, it was all Montana as the Grizzlies closed the half on a 20-5 run and took a 36-29 lead at halftime.

Weber State was never closer than nine points in the second half, and Montana led by as many as 17.

Montana shot 50 percent from the field and held Weber State to 45 percent shooting. The Wildcats were 10-of-21 from 3-point land and both teams pulled down 27 rebounds. The Wildcats gave up 18 turnovers.

Junior Chris Golden led Weber State with 18 points Freshman Ryan Richardson added 15 points off the bench and knocked down five 3-pointers.

Montana's Martin Breunig had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Utah Valley 72, Texas Pan-American 49 • Marcel Davis had 20 points to lead the Wolverines over the Broncs in Edinburg, Texas.

Southern Utah 79, Idaho 77 • James McGee had 17 points, and Cal Hanks came off the bench to add 16 in the Thunderbirds' win over the Vandals in Cedar City.

Montana State-Northern 58, Westminster 51 • The Lights' Corbin Pearson had 13 points and 13 rebounds in the Griffins' home loss.

Westminster's Nick Jenson led the team with 12 points in their loss.

Dixie State 94, Fresno Pacific 80 • DeQuan Thompson's 24 points led the game in the Red Rebels' road win.

San Diego downs BYU

Women's basketball • Strong bench contribution was not enough to push BYU women's basketball past San Diego on the road, as it fell 69-59 Saturday afternoon.

Lexi Eaton led BYU in scoring with 24, including going 9 of 12 from the charity stripe. She also had six rebounds and five assists. In the first half, Morgan Bailey had six points and five rebounds in 10 minutes. Kylie Maeda had seven points and three assists for the game. Alohi Robins-Hardy led the bench scorers with a career-high eight points.

Fresno State 64, Utah State 55 • Freshman guard Funda Nakkasoglu led the Aggies with 24 points, and senior forward Franny Vaaulu led the team in rebounds with six in the loss to the Bulldogs.

Westminster 59, Montana State-Northern 44 • The Griffins clinched at least a share of a seventh-straight Frontier Conference championship by beating the Lights in Salt Lake City.

Amanda Hacking notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Shelby Ellsworth's 14 points led Westminster's scoring.

Texas Pan-American 57, Utah Valley 55 • Cherrell Price's buzzer-beater sealed defeat for the Wolverines in Edinburg, Texas.

Mariah Seals led Utah Valley with 16 points.

Idaho 76, Southern Utah 49 • Brenna Gates led the Thunderbirds with 14 points, and Ashleigh Munns added eight in the loss to the home-team Vandals. Jessica Richardson's eight rebounds were the most for Southern Utah.

SLCC 62, North Idaho 53 • Raushan Gultekin led the Bruins' scoring with 15 points in their win over the Cardinals in Salt Lake City.

Cassidy Whitney had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Weber State 64, Montana 60 • Carlee Lough had 18 points in the Senior-Night defeat against the Grizzlies in Ogden. Jalen Carpenter had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
