Senior guard Cheyenne Wilson tied her career high with 16 points, and Danielle Rodriguez scored the winning basket on a layup with 2 seconds remaining as the Utah women's basketball team beat Oregon 66-64 on Friday on Senior Night at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

Senior forward Taryn Wicijowski scored 15 points, including a 7-for-8 night at the free-throw line, while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds.

"The seniors played their tails off," said Utah coach Anthony Levrets said.

Freshman Tanaeya Boclair had 11 points for the Utes (9-17, 3-12 Pac-12), and junior point guard Rodriguez added 11.

Jillian Alleyne and Lexi Petersen scored 18 points each for the Ducks (12-14, 5-10).

Men's volleyball

No. 5 BYU 3, No. 9 Long Beach State 0 • In Provo, junior Matt Underwood had a career-high 17 kills as the Cougars swept the 49ers, 25-22, 25-16, 25-22.

Baseball

Kansas 6, Utah 3 • At the Pac-12/Big 12 Challenge in Mesa, Ariz., Cody Scaggari hit a two-run homer in the third inning for the Utes, but their comeback fell short after they trailed 4-0 after two innings.

Nebraska 3-3, BYU 8-1 • In Peoria, Ariz., Eric Ury went 2 for 3 with two RBIs as the Cougars (1-5) earned their first win of the season. The Cougars lost the second game in 10 innings after they batted into double plays to end the eighth and ninth.

Softball

Utah 11, Nevada 0; Utah 2, UC Santa Barbara 0• In Cathedral City, Calif., freshman Katie Donovan pitched a no-hitter in her second career start as the Utes beat the Wolf Pack. Donovan nearly had a perfect game, but hit a batter in the fourth inning to allow Nevada's only baserunner. Utah center fielder Kate Dickman went 2-for-2 with four RBIs. Against Santa Barbara, Utah starter Miranda Viramontes combined with reliever Donovan for the shutout. Utah's Anissa Urtez doubled in the fourth inning and scored on Marissa Mendenhall's single. Mendenhall stole second base and scored on Shelby Pacheco's bloop single.

Texas A&M 8, BYU 5 • In Cathedral City, Calif., the Cougars fell behind 4-0 in the first inning, and their late-inning rally fell short. Gordy Bravo sent 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Cougars. Ashley Godfrey and Megan Arnold each went 2-for-3, with Godfrey scoring two runs and Arnold collecting two RBIs.

Weber St. 3, CSU Northridge 1; Weber St. 10, Grand Canyon 9 • In Phoenix, sophomore right fielder Sara Hingsberger went a combined 4 for 7 with three runs scored and three RBIs as the Wildcats won a pair of games.

Swimming

Utah's Bence Kiraly won the 1,650z-yard freestyle in 14 minutes, 55.16 seconds against USC, helping the Utes build a 14-5 advantage in a meet that will continue Saturday at 11 a.m.

Women's tennis

BYU 5, Portland 2 • Senior Meghan Sheehan-Dizon won a singles match and also helped the Cougars win the doubles point as they beat Portland for their first West Coast Conference victory of the season. Sheehan-Dizon beat Saroop Dhat 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

Track and field

Utah State's Eric Shellhorn won the mile run at the Montana State Open in Bozeman in 4 minutes, 7.52 seconds, eight seconds ahead of runner-up Jake Turner of Montana State.
