Pleasant Grove etched its legacy into Utah high school wrestling lore with its fifth consecutive Class 5A state championship, and it really wasn't close.

The Vikings yawned past the competition, blowing past second-place Davis 231.5-150.5.

"It's definitely an amazing feeling," said junior Ben Anderson, who also captured his third individual state title. "To feel that not only you won it, but your team won it. I know it's all the hard work you give in practice. We definitely accomplished a lot."

The streak is not the longest in school history; the Vikings captured seven straight titles from 1991-1997. That streak is the fourth-longest in state history behind Brighton (11) and Delta's separate streaks of eight and nine in a row.

Anderson defeated Fremont's Dallin Denton in a 6-1 decision to finish his junior season 39-6. He wasted little time to shift his focus on winning his fourth title next season.

"Hopefully I can go work even harder to get that fourth title and another title for the team," Anderson said.

For Kyson Levin, the state tournament was bittersweet. He capped his high school career with four straight team championships, but fell short of joining illustrious company as a four-time individual state champion after tearing his labrum and separating his AC joint.

"It sucks really bad. I always told myself I was going to be a four-timer, and I can't do it now because of an injury. Three-timer is still pretty awesome, and I feel pretty accomplished with that," Levin said before addressing the team title: "I think it'll probably be more special because it's the only championship I'm going to get this year. The team has worked really hard for this."

Joining Anderson, who took the 132-pound division, as individual winners were Davis' Kade Evans (106), Syracuse's Bryce Brimhall (113), American Fork's Cameron Hunsaker (120), Cottonwood's Jacob Knapp (126), Herriman's Jaron Jensen (138), American Fork's Morgan Palmer (145), Jordan's Tayler Johnson (152), Pleasant Grove's Josh Anderson (160), Pleasant Grove's Koy Wilkinson (170), West's Will Lang (182), Davis' Wyatt Koelling (195), Herriman's Wade French (220) and Lehi's Brackin Stringam (285).
