Pocatello, Idaho • Jeremy Senglin's career-high 30 points lead the Wildcats to a 70-63 victory at Idaho State Saturday night at Holt Arena. The win moves Weber State to 10-12 overall and 5-6 in conference play.

The Wildcats held a 32-27 lead at halftime after shooting 52 percent from the field in the half. Weber State never trailed in the second half but never led by more than seven points.

The 'Cats led by two points with 22 seconds left when Richaud Gittens knocked down a 3-pointer to seal the win.

Weber State finished the game shooting 43 percent from the field, and was 21-of-26 from the free throw line for 80 percent shooting. The Wildcats also had eight steals and five blocked shots.

Senglin, a sophomore out of Arlington, Texas, was 7-of-8 shooting from the field, including 2-of-3 from the 3-point line. He was also 14-of-15 from the free throw line and added two assists and two steals.

Junior Joel Bolomboy added his eighth double-double of the year, finishing with 14 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, to go along with four blocked shots. Chris Golden also added 14 points and knocked down three 3-pointers.

Carroll 57, Westminster 55: Westminster (10-12, 3-6 Frontier) never found any rhythm on the offensive end as the made a season-low 17 field goals and shot 33.3 percent from the field in the game.

Northern Colorado 84, Southern Utah 80: Southern Utah trailed by 10 with just over five minutes to play as Juwan Major took over scoring six straight points before Northern Colorado converted free throws into points and maintained its lead to hold on.

Eaton leads BYU

to fifth-straight win

Women's basketball • Lexi Eaton scored a team-high 24 points and Morgan Bailey scored 20 as the Cougars beat Loyola Marymount 74-59 at the Marriott Center.

The win marks the Cougars' fifth in a row, and puts BYU (19-5, 11-2) in second place in the West Coast Conference. The Lions are 3-21, 1-12 in WCC.

Weber State 63, Idaho St. 57 • Senior Carlee Lough scored a career-high 20 points, followed by Jalen Carpenter's 12 to help the Wildcats. Weber State is 5-6 in the Big Sky Conference and 10-12 overall.

Utah State 51, New Mexico 56 • Senior Jasmine Porter made 14 points and freshman Funda Nakkasoglu had 12 in the Aggies' home loss. Utah State falls 6-17 overall and 3-8 in Mountain West play, while New Mexico improves to 12-10 overall and 8-3.

Westminster College 72, Carroll College 49 • Four Griffins scored in double digits to lead Westminster in routing Carroll College for a road win. Westminster leads the Frontier Conference at 8-1 and is 18-2 overall.

Southern Utah 58, Northern Colorado 87 • Desiree Jackson's 11 points and Brenna Gates' 10 lead Thunderbirds' scoring in their road loss to the Bears. SUU falls to 4-6 in the Big Sky Conference and 11-9 overall; Northern Colorado improves to 5-6 and 11-11.

SLCC 80, USU Eastern 70 • The Bruins had three players in the double digits in claiming an 80-70 victory over USU Eastern for a road win. SLCC remains on top of the Scenic West conference at 11-1, and improves to 23-4 on the season.
