Utah's recent flurry of commitments continued Wednesday night, with 6-foot-5 Auburn, Calif., offensive tackle Johnny Capra making the call.

Rated three stars by Rivals, Capra told The Tribune he feels a bond with Utah offensive line coach Jim Harding, who he admires for his passion and consistency. When he visited last weekend, "I fell in love."

He was hosted by freshman offensive lineman Jackson Barton and spent the whole weekend with the line, he said, gaining an appreciation for the family atmosphere

Capra said he's leaning toward majoring in business at the U. Asked if he plans on redshirting, he said, "I'll do whatever the coaches want me to do."

His Placer High lost in the CIF playoffs to Rio Linda, home of fellow Utah commit Marcel Brown.

"He's a very explosive player, and I look forward to blocking for him," Capra said.

Capra is Utah's fifth commit since Saturday. The list of current Utah football commits that The Tribune has reported on includes:
