Former BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah has three sacks, former USU linebacker Zach Vigil records 12 tackles as local stars of NFL Week 16

Each week, we’ll recap notable performances from local BYU, Utah, USU and SUU alumni in the NFL. Here’s what stood out from Week 16 of the 2017 NFL season:

Denver Broncos at Washington (Washington won, 27-11)

• Broncos RB Devontae Booker (Utah) had eight carries for 47 yards and five catches for 24 yards. He also returned two kicks for 26 yards and lost a fumble in 30 offensive snaps and eight special teams snaps.

• Broncos OT Garett Bolles (Utah) played all 74 offensive snaps and two special teams snaps.

• Washington OG Tony Bergstrom (Utah) played five special teams snaps.

• Washington LB Zach Vigil (USU) had 12 tackles, two assists and a fumble recovery in all 74 defensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals (Cincinnati won, 26-17)

•· Lions DE Ezekiel Anasah (BYU) had three sacks, five tackles and two assists in 46 defensive snaps.

• Lions CB Nevin Lawson (USU) had two tackles in 50 defensive snaps and eight special teams snaps.

• Lions safety Miles Killebrew (SUU) played six defensive snaps and 20 special teams snaps.

Los Angeles Chargers at New York Jets (Los Angeles won, 14-7)

• Chargers DT Tenny Palepoi (Utah) played 20 defensive snaps and three special teams snaps.

• Chargers CB Michael Davis (BYU) had one tackle in 23 special teams snaps.

• Chargers OT Sam Tevi (Utah) played all 73 offensive snaps and three special teams snaps.

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City won, 29-13)

• Chiefs QB Alex Smith (Utah) completed 25 of 39 passes for 304 yards and one touchdown. He also had four carries for 13 yards in all 83 offensive snaps.

• Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen (BYU) had four tackles in all 57 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps.

• Dolphins LS John Denney (BYU) played six special teams snaps.

• Ravens safety Eric Weddle (Utah) had two tackles in all 62 defensive snaps.

• Browns DE Nate Orchard (Utah) had one tackle and one kick return for eight yards in 22 defensive snaps and four special teams snaps.

• Browns safety Kai Nacua (BYU) had two tackles in 56 defensive snaps and three special teams snaps.

• Packers RB Jamaal Williams (BYU) had 15 carries for 58 yards in 62 offensive snaps.

• Packers LB Kyler Fackrell (USU) had three tackles and a sack. He also returned one kick for 11 yards in 39 defensive snaps and 20 special teams snaps.

• Packers safety Marwin Evans (USU) had one tackle in three defensive snaps and all 23 special teams snaps.

• Packers RB Devante Mays (USU) played seven special teams snaps.

• Panthers DT Star Lotulelei (Utah) had two tackle assists and half of a sack in 41 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps.

• Panthers OG Tyler Larsen (USU) played one offensive snap and four special teams snaps.

• Panthers WR Kaelin Clay (Utah) had two catches for 24 yards and returned one punt for 3 yards in 18 offensive snaps and one special teams snap.

• Buccaneers DT Sealver Siliga (Utah) had one tackle assist in eight defensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

New York Giants at Arizona Cardinals (Arizona won, 23-0)

• Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams (USU) had 16 carries for 51 yards and two catches for 14 yards in 33 offensive snaps.

• Giants WR Hunter Sharp (USU) had two catches for 25 yards and one kick return for 19 yards in 14 offensive snaps and 18 special teams snaps.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots (New England won, 37-16)

• Patriots CB Eric Rowe (Utah) played 51 defensive snaps.

• Patriots LB Trevor Reilly (Utah) had one tackle in 21 special teams snaps.

• Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner (USU) had five tackles and three assists in all 76 defensive snaps and nine special teams snaps.

Jacksonville Jaguars at San Francisco 49ers (San Francisco won, 44-33)

• 49ers OT Zane Beadles (Utah) played all 68 offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Houston Texans (Pittsburgh won, 34-6)

• Steelers CB Brian Allen (Utah) played 10 special teams snaps.

Oakland Raiders at Philadelphia Eagles (Philadelphia won, 19-10)

• Raiders CB Sean Smith (Utah) played 67 defensive snaps.

• Raiders safety Keith McGill (Utah) played four defensive snaps and 17 special teams snaps.

• Raiders LB James Cowser (SUU) played six defensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps.
