Former Utah safety Eric Weddle gets 1,000th career tackle, grabs an interception in Ravens’ win over Browns as local star of NFL Week 15

Each week, we’ll recap notable performances from local BYU, Utes, USU and SUU alumni in the NFL. Here’s what stood out from Week 15 of the 2017 NFL season:

Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts (Denver won, 25-13)

• Broncos RB Devontae Booker (Utah) had 11 carries for 39 yards and one catch for 10 yards. He also returned one kick for 23 yards in 23 offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

• Broncos OT Garett Bolles (Utah) played all 79 offensive snaps and four special teams snaps.

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (Detroit won, 20-10)

• Lions DE Ezekiel Anasah (BYU) had one tackle in 36 defensive snaps.

• Lions CB Nevin Lawson (USU) had two tackles and two assists in 48 defensive snaps and 10 special teams snaps.

• Lions safety Miles Killebrew (SUU) played seven defensive snaps and 16 special teams snaps.

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City won, 30-13)

• Chiefs QB Alex Smith (Utah) completed 23 of 30 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three carries for 13 yards in all 66 offensive snaps.

• Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen (BYU) had four tackles and an assist. He also returned one punt for zero yards in all 64 defensive snaps and five special teams snaps.

• Chargers DT Tenny Palepoi (Utah) had three tackles in 19 defensive snaps and 15 special teams snaps.

• Chargers CB Michael Davis (BYU) had one tackle in 16 special teams snaps.

• Chargers OT Sam Tevi (Utah) played 24 offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (Baltimore won, 27-10)

• Ravens safety Eric Weddle (Utah) had a tackle, an assist and an interception returned for 13 yards in all 64 defensive snaps.

• Browns DE Nate Orchard (Utah) had one tackle assist in 23 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps.

• Browns safety Kai Nacua (BYU) had one tackle in 14 defensive snaps and two special teams snaps.

Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers (Carolina won, 31-24)

• Packers RB Jamaal Williams (BYU) had 10 carries for 30 yards in 43 offensive snaps.

• Packers LB Kyler Fackrell (USU) played 22 defensive snaps and 22 special teams snaps.

• Packers safety Marwin Evans (USU) had one tackle and recovered an onside kick in four defensive snaps and 22 special teams snaps.

• Packers RB Devante Mays (USU) played four special teams snaps.

• Panthers DT Star Lotulelei (Utah) had two tackles and half of a sack in 44 defensive snaps and six special teams snaps.

• Panthers WR Kaelin Clay (Utah) returned one punt for five yards in five offensive snaps and five special teams snaps.

Arizona Cardinals at Washington (Washington won, 20-15)

• Washington OG Tony Bergstrom (Utah) played seven special teams snaps.

• Washington LB Zach Vigil (USU) had six tackles and two assists in all 85 defensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps.

• Arizona RB Kerwynn Williams (USU) had 17 carries for 61 yards in 31 offensive snaps.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (Buffalo won, 24-16)

• Dolphins LS John Denney (BYU) played eight special teams snaps.

New York Jets at New Orleans Saints (New Orleans won, 31-19)

• Saints safety Marcus Williams (Utah) had four tackles and an assist in 69 defensive snaps and nine special teams snaps.

• Saints QB Taysom Hill (BYU) had one tackle in 17 special teams snaps.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (Los Angeles won, 42-7)

• Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner (USU) had three tackles and four assists in 48 defensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers (San Francisco won, 25-23)

• 49ers OT Zane Beadles (Utah) played 70 offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

• Titans CB LeShaun Sims (SUU) had five tackles in 47 defensive snaps and one special teams snap.

• Titans CB Brice McCain (Utah) had two tackles in 26 defensive snaps and seven special teams snaps.

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers (New England won, 27-24)

• Patriots CB Eric Rowe (Utah) had five tackles in 54 defensive snaps and one special teams snap.

• Patriots LB Trevor Reilly (Utah) had one tackle in 21 special teams snaps.

• Steelers CB Brian Allen (Utah) played one defensive snap and seven special teams snaps.

Dallas Cowboys at Oakland Raiders (Dallas won, 20-17)

• Raiders OT Donald Penn (USU) played six offensive snaps.

• Raiders CB Sean Smith (Utah) had three tackles and two interceptions returned for a total of eight yards in 59 defensive snaps.

• Raiders safety Keith McGill (Utah) played five defensive snaps and 15 special teams snaps.

• Raiders LB James Cowser (SUU) played three defensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps.
