The Snow College football team erased a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit and beat Blinn College 43-41 in the El Toro Bowl on Saturday in Yuma, Ariz.
The sixth-ranked Badgers trailed 35-19 in the fourth before rallying and taking a 36-35 lead on Daymon Murray’s 24-yard pick six with 6:46 remaining. D’Arman Notoa later scored on a 4-yard run, which was set up by Jalen Powell’s interception and 17-yard return to the Blinn 12-yard line, giving Snow a 43-35 lead.
The 10th-ranked Buccaneers — from Brenham, Texas — scored a TD with 22 seconds left in the game but failed to convert the two-point conversion and were unable to recover the ensuing onside kick, sealing the win for the Badgers.
Jaylen Warren rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns for Snow, which rolled up 405 yards of total offense.
With the victory, the Badgers improved to 9-1 in coach Paul Peterson’s first season.
