Utah's gymnastics team, which claimed the school's first Pac-12 title last season, is picked to repeat as champion in the Pac-12 coaches' preseason poll.

The Utes received 46 points with five first-place points, just ahead of UCLA which received 43 points and three first-place points.

Stanford was third with 39 points followed by Oregon State and Cal with 28 points each, Arizona (17), Washington (13) and Arizona State (10).

Interestingly, the Bruins were picked ahead of Utah in the national poll, landing in fifth place while the Utes were sixth. Stanford was 10th and Oregon State 11th in the national poll.

Utah opens the season Jan. 9 at BYU.
