Southern Utah football: Cowser named to All-America team

Cedar City • Southern Utah defensive end James Cowser has been named to the 2014 Walter Camp All-America team, it was announced Tuesday.

Cowser, a junior from Davis High School, led the Football Championship Subdivision in tackles-for-loss with 28.5, including 11.5 quarterback sacks.

Cowser joins five other players from the Big Sky Conference as a Walter Camp All-American. The group also includes Sacramento State receiver De'Andre Carter, Eastern Washington offensive lineman Jake Rodgers, Montana defensive lineman Zack Wagenmann, Cal Poly linebacker Nick Dzubner and Portland State punter Kyle Loomis.
