The Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association will be sponsoring five high school basketball games Tuesday at three different sites to raise money for its scholarship fund.

According to the group's Marc Hunter, the UIAA awards five $1,000 scholarships each year to senior scholar-athletes.

Since the organization, made up primarily of high school athletic directors began the program in 2002. 221 students have applied and 45 have received over $42,000 in scholarships. Six of those were chosen by Section Seven of the NIAAA as national finalists.

Three of the games are scheduled at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. At 4 p.m., 2A boys' runner-up Enterprise will meet 1A boys defending champion Monticello. At 5:30 p.m., home-town Richfield will battle defending 2A boys champion Wasatch Academy. And, at 7 p.m., 1A girls' champion Panguitch will test 2A runner-up North Sevier.

In a St. George matchup, defending 3A girls' champion Desert Hills will battle 2A champion Enterprise at 7 p.m. And, at Springville, 5A girls champion Fremont will meet 4A girls winner Springville at 7 p.m.
