Ogden • It has been three years since Weber State's last winning streak.

The Wildcats haven't won back-to-back games since 2011, but that's the goal Saturday afternoon, when they play host to Northern Colorado at Stewart Stadium.

Weber comes off a 24-12 win at North Dakota. It was their first victory of the season under first-year head coach Jay Hill.

The Wildcats are 1-9 overall and 1-5 in the Big Sky Conference heading into their final home game of 2014.

"It was a long time coming," said Hill. "... I'm proud of our guys — their resilience and their toughness. We went through a lot of games — a six- or seven-game stretch — when we had chances to [win] but didn't."

Against North Dakota, sophomore Jadrian Clark cemented himself as the Wildcats' No. 1 quarterback. He competed 19 of 31 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Another sophomore, BYU transfer Billy Green, opened the season as the starter.

"If [Clark] is the guy who can give us a duel threat, that's who we'll go with," said Hill. "... But Billy is ready to go any time. We have stuff put in [the offense] for Billy Green."

At halftime, Weber State will retire former quarterback Jamie Martin's jersey. He played for the Wildcats from 1989-92, won the Walter Payton Award as the top player in Division I-AA as a junior and eventually spent 16 seasons in the NFL. —
