Brock Miller, a 6-foot-5 wing from Brighton High School, signed a letter of intent with Utah State on Wednesday.

"It's very exciting," he said. "... I'm excited to be an Aggie."

Miller plans to graduate early from Brighton. He turns 18 on March 6 and hopes to leave on his LDS Church mission a few weeks after his birthday. That way, when he returns, he'll have "four or five months to get back in shape" before starting his career at Utah State.

What convinced him to sign with the Aggies?

According to Miller, he attended a game at Utah State when the school was recruiting his older brother Corbin.

"I fell in love with the atmosphere," he said. "The crowd is crazy. ... I could see myself playing in the Spectrum."

Miller also liked coach Stew Morrill and his staff, as well as the Aggies' style of play.

"Everything kind of filled the bill," he said.

Three years ago, Corbin Miller ended up signing with Harvard. He returned from his mission last summer. The two brothers talked Wednesday afternoon.

"He said he was proud of me," Brock Miller said. "He was very pumped for me. ... He's always supported me in everything I've done."

Another Miller brother, Brandon, is currently serving his mission. When he returns home early next year, he will play at the University of Utah.

Other schools recruiting Brock Miller included Stanford, Boston College and Harvard.
