GRAND FORKS, N.D. • Weber State was no Eastern Washington. It didn't have to be.

Jadrian Clark threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns as Weber State won its first game of the season Saturday, routing punchless North Dakota 24-12.

"We made too many mistakes," UND coach Bubba Schweigert said. "We knew we had to score first in the second half to get back in the game. ... Just not enough consistency."

Instead, Weber State (1-9, 1-5 Big Sky) marched 70 yards to go up 24-3 when Clark hit Zach Smith fort an 8-yard touchdown.

"It was third down and space," Schweigert said. "The way we are built, we cannot give up field position."

Clark completed 19 of 31 passes. He threw TD passes of 3 yards to Shaydon Kehano and Jake Kahawaii and the clinching 8-yarder to Smith.

Cameron Livingston caught five passes for 116 yards.

North Dakota reached the end zone once behind freshman quarterback Keaton Studsrud, who was a red-shirt until last week, when he played for the first time in a 54-3 loss to Eastern Washington.

Studsrud was 12 of 33 for 115 yards and two interceptions against Weber State. He tossed a 23-yard TD pass to Tucker Nordby, but UND (3-7, 1-5) continued to struggle offensively.

Weber State, with its offense bogged down early, took advantage of North Dakota miscues. Studsrud's first interception led to Josh Kealamakia's 42-yard field goal with 8:35 left in the first quarter.

Punter Connor Bolduc dropped a snap at his own 3-yard line, leading to the Wildcats' first touchdown. Weber State needed two plays to score on Clark's 3-yard pass to Kehano with 9:42 left in the half.

Clark guided Weber State to another TD with 3:49 to play in the half. Clark tossing the 3-yard scoring strike to Kahawaii. Clark also completed passes of 47 and 28 yards on the drive, which put UND down 17-0.

North Dakota's offense struggled again. Its only drive of the half led top Reid Taubenheim's 21-yard field goal with 22 second left in the half. The drive accounted for 73 of UND's 94 total yards in the first half.

UND ran for 122 yards as a team, but senior running back Jer Garman gained 137 yards on 24 carries.

UND has lost its last three games by a combined score of 113-32. —
