West Valley City • The Colorado Eagles scored with 30 seconds remaining in overtime to defeat the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 at the Maverik Center on Wednesday night.

"We are not playing our best, and it's frustrating to me that we are not playing to our potential at least here at home," Utah coach Tim Branham said.

Despite the loss the Grizzlies do get a point in the standings (1-1-1-0) "We are very happy we came back and got a point," Branham said. "You still get that sting of a loss, and our guys are upset."

The Grizzlies led 1-0 after the first period, but caught a bad break as the Eagles scored their first goal on the night on a short-handed situation.

"We have been inconsistent on the power play" Branham said. "We were a little bit lazy today on the power play and we will get back to the drawing board."

Grizzlies' goaltender Etienne Marcoux stopped 31 hots fired in his direction on the night.

"Marcoux was phenomenal once again," Branham said.

The Grizzlies have now lost two games at home, but Branham he's not pressing the panic button on his team.

"We should be seeing more results then this, and everybody wants to do well nobody is out there trying to do something wrong," he said. —
