Boise, Idaho • Authorities say a 29-year-old inmate has died in the Ada County Jail of a possible drug overdose.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Danny Ryan of Twin Falls died Tuesday.

Authorities say jail staff received an anonymous note Monday saying Ryan had illegal drugs in his possession.

A drug dog searched Ryan's cell but didn't find any drugs.

About 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy noticed Ryan sweating and shaking. But officials say Ryan resisted treatment.

Nurses determined he had a dangerously high temperature and called 911.

Ada County paramedics took Ryan by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where he went into cardiac arrest and died about 4:05 a.m.

The Ada County Coroner's Office says toxicology results are pending.
