Boise, Idaho • A 12-year-old central Idaho boy who collided with his father after the two approached a jump on snowmobiles from opposite directions has died.
Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg says Nolan Kreczkowski of Bellevue died at a Boise hospital Monday night.
Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey says the crash also involving 47-year-old Keith Kreczkowski occurred about 4 p.m. Sunday south of Bellevue.
Ramsey says the two approached a small rise used for jumping the machines and neither saw the other until it was too late.
Ramsey says it was a high-speed collision causing both riders to lose their helmets. Ramsey says both riders received head and chest trauma.
Keith Kreczkowski was being treated at St. Luke's in Boise.
