Ogden • Ogden police say they've arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of a man and woman early Tuesday.

The Ogden Police Department said in a statement that officers arrested Byron Cottrell on Tuesday on charges of aggravated burglary and assault.

Police say they found a 27-year-old man and 26-year-old woman with stab wounds to their upper body around 8 a.m. near 29th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Officers say the two victims were taken to a nearby hospital with significant injuries but their lives did not appear to be threatened.

Police say it appears the incident resulted from a personal dispute over a pair of missing gloves.

Officials did not release the names of the victims Tuesday afternoon.
