It was centered eight miles northeast of Anaheim, where a red carpet premiere was under way for the new Cars Land attraction at Disney’s California Adventure. Several attendees tweeted that they felt it.

People reported feeling the quake 75 miles south of the epicenter in Encinitas and 50 miles to the east in Redlands. Those who experienced it are describing it as a single quick, sharp jolt.

Police and fire departments in the area have not reported any injuries or serious damages.
