Utah's Georgia Dabritz was perfect Friday, but it wasn't enough for the sixth-ranked Utes to get a win as the Utes finished third behind Michigan (197.475) and UCLA (197.475) with a 197.35.

Dabritz earned her 10.0 on the floor, marking the second perfect score of her career. The junior earned a 10.0 on the uneven bars in 2013.

Including Friday's mark, the Utes have had just 17 perfect scores on the floor.

Dabritz also scored a 9.95 on the uneven bars and a 9.9 on the vault.

Utah's Nansy Damianova, who was too sick to travel with the team on Thursday, arrived Friday and was able to deliver 9.9s on the uneven bars and floor and a 9.825 on the vault.

Unfortunately, her heroic effort nor Dabritz's big scores were enough for a victory.

The trouble spot, as usual, was the balance beam for the Utes.

The usually steady Tory Wilson came off the beam on a leap and scored just 9.35. Others had problems too, leaving Utah with just a 49.0.

UCLA scored a 49.3 and Michigan scored a 49.275 on the beam.

Dabritz's perfect score helped the Utes earn a 49.375 on the floor and the Utes had one of their better showings on the uneven bars, scoring a 49.425.

Leadoff gymnast Breanna Hughes set the tone with a 9.9 to join Damianova and Dabrtiz with the high scores.

The Utes are ranked second nationally on the vault, but Utah couldn't get its typical big scores on the event on Friday with Kailah Delaney (9.925) and Dabritz (9.9) being the only Utah gymnasts to earn 9.9 or higher.

While disappointed they didn't win, the Utes still left Michigan with a lot of positives, coach Greg Marsden said.

"It was a great meet and all three teams were strong all the way through," he said. "It was a good experience. We are inching our way to being a better team as we get ready for the postseason."

The Utes will see UCLA again when the teams travel to the Pac-12 Championships on March 22 at Cal. —
