Utah senior forward Michelle Plouffe has been selected to the Sporting News Preseason All-American Third Team.

Plouffe, an honorable mention Associated Press All-American the last two seasons, is on pace to become the third player in Utah history to reach 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.

"This is a tremendous achievement for Michelle," Utah Head Coach Anthony Levrets said. "She has worked incredibly hard to become a great player and put herself in position to be recognized as one of the elite players in the country."

A two-time All-Pac-12 Conference selection, Plouffe ranks ninth all-time at Utah in career scoring (1,566), sixth in career rebounding (865) and second in career blocks (127).
