Indianapolis • The Utah gymnastics team was recognized Wednesday with an NCAA Division I Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Announcement for earning a multiyear Academic Performance Report (APR) in the top 10 percent of all gymnastics teams.

The latest multiyear APR is based on measurements from 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and in measuring of each team's academic performance.

The NCAA Public Recognition Announcement is the latest academic award for the Ute gymnasts. They posted the highest GPA among all Utah varsity athletic teams in 2012-13, including a 3.772 GPA in the spring semester.

Hailee Hansen was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII women's at-large first team for her 3.958 cumulative GPA in mass communication and is on the Academic All-America ballot. Hansen was among seven Utah gymnasts to receive a perfect 4.0 GPA spring semester and all 13 members of the team were above a 3.0.
