Women's softball: Utah faces road tests at Southern Utah, Stanford

The Utah women's softball team, fresh off of back-to-back home Pac-12 victories, travels to Southern Utah on Wednesday for nonconference doubleheader action before heading to Stanford on Friday.

First pitch from Kathryn Berg Field in Cedar City is set for noon with the second game starting approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The Thunderbirds (15-26) have won six consecutive games and are led by Kelsey Bryant, who is hitting .338 with a .559 slugging percentage and 31 runs driven in.

Utah (21-24) sophomore Mariah Ramirez helped defeat Arizona State by getting six hits in 10 at bats, while also pitching with a 3.50 earned-run average.

The Utes resume Pac-12 play Friday at No. 16 Stanford.
