Las Vegas • Utah ambushed the field on a run to the Pac-12 Tournament this week, but Oregon wasn't caught off guard.

The Ducks took control of their matchup with the Utes early on defense, cruising comfortably to a 64-45 semifinal win Friday night at the MGM Grand Arena.

The team's leading scorers for the week, Jarred Dubois and Jordan Loveridge, were held to a combined 1-for-18 from the field. Brandon Taylor led the Utes with 13 points, and Jason Washburn added 12.

Oregon stifled Utah for only six first-half field goals, taking a 29-15 lead at the break. The Utes fought back within 8 points, but 29.4 percent shooting and 17 turnovers led to the defeat.

The Ducks move on to face UCLA in Saturday's Pac-12 Tournament championship.
