Now that was embarrassing.

Stanford started fast, put the foot on the gas and raced past Utah 87-56 on Sunday night at the Huntsman Center. In what was a historic event for the Utes — the first Sunday home game in school history — it turned into 40 minutes of misery for Utah.

The Cardinal shot well overall, hit shots from the perimeter and never let up. Utah turned the ball over, didn’t shoot well and never pushed back.

With the defeat, Utah drops to 9-11 overall and has lost seven of eight games in the Pac-12 Conference.
