Seattle • Smooth and confident, Utah has just played its best half in three games.

With 20 minutes remaining at Alaska Airlines Arena, the Utes lead Washington 33-25, angling for an upset bid of a Huskies team that's unbeaten in the Pac-12 Conference.

Jason Washburn leads the way with 14 points and six rebounds. Freshman forward Jordan Loveridge has nine, but frosh point guard Brandon Taylor has scored eight points and handed out two assists.

He has built on the strong game he had against Washington State on Wednesday night. With more playing time as a result, he has run the offense and created for others with his passing and shooting.

C.J. Wilcox, the Pleasant Grove native and Pac-12 scoring leader, has yet to score.
