Utah's home schedule came to an end Saturday, but athletic director Chris Hill already was looking forward to the 2013 season, when the Utes have seven home games.

The Utes will play Utah State and Weber State next season at home in addition to league foes Oregon State, UCLA, Stanford, Arizona State and Colorado.

Hill estimated the Utes make $1.4 million a game on ticket sales alone, which will provide a nice bump in revenue for the program with the additional game.

Hill said the school isn't anticipating raising single-game ticket prices, although season ticket holders will have to pay more for the additional game.

"We're not trying to add more, but just keep things the same," Hill said. "Hopefully fans will understand that. When we go back to six games, the ticket prices will reflect that."

The Utes plan to alternate a seven-game home schedule and six-game home schedule based on their Pac-12 schedules, which alternate five and four home games.

Hill says that ideally, one of those home opponents will always be a FCS team.

"We still get a good crowd for that game because it's early and fans are excited," he said.

Seniors honored

The Utes honored 25 seniors before kickoff. The class has a 32-17 record and has played in three bowl games, but coach Kyle Whittingham said this week the biggest accomplishment was that 18 of them are on track to graduate next month.

"That is phenomenal," he said. "We've never had that kind of academic thing happen, and it's a tribute to the seniors' work ethic off the field and everything they've done in their time here. It's a high-water mark for us."

The seniors were linebacker Boo Andersen, offensive lineman Sam Brenner, receiver DeVonte Christopher, receiver Reggie Dunn, linebacker Dave Fagergren, defensive end Lorenzo Ford, snapper Patrick Greene, quarterback Jon Hays, defensive tackle Dave Kruger, defensive back Ryan Lacy, defensive back Moe Lee, defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, offensive lineman Miles Mason, receiver Luke Matthews, fullback Max Moala, tight end Kendrick Moeai, defensive tackle Joape Pela, kicker Coleman Petersen, tight end Dallin Rogers, tight end David Rolf, punter Sean Sellwood, offensive lineman Tevita Stevens, defensive back Reggie Topps, defensive back Lewis Walker and running back John White.

Stevens, Kruger, Matthews, Sellwood and Greene are all four-year starters.

Sellout

Although there were plenty of empty seats in Rice-Eccles Stadium, the game was still a sellout for the Utes, the program's 18th in a row. Arizona returned about 600 tickets, which were sold by Utah before kickoff.
