Utah’s season opener went as planned against a Division III opponent without the athletes to be competitive.
The Utes defeated Willamette 104-47 on Friday night at the Huntsman Center in a matchup that was never close.

Jordan Loveridge led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds in his Utah debut. Fellow freshmen Justin Seymour and Dakari Tucker scored 16 and 15 points respectively, while Dallin Bachynski had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Utes get out to a 1-0 start, and will face Sacramento State next Friday night at the Huntsman Center.
