1. USC (2-0)

It was an uneven performance for the Trojans against Syracuse, and Stanford will be less forgiving.

2. Oregon (2-0)

Will the Ducks please schedule somebody of note? Anybody?

3. UCLA (2-0)

Maybe too high, but until Johnathan Franklin proves he is capable of rushing for fewer than 200 yards, the Bruins will stay.

4. Stanford (2-0)

Still not sold on the Cardinal as a Top-25 team, but Stanford gets a big opportunity vs. USC at home.

5. Arizona (2-0)

Wildcats get a breather before gantlet Pac-12 schedule.

6. Oregon State(1-0)

Beavers get two weeks to prepare for UCLA after knocking off No. 13 Wisconsin following two weeks of prep.

7. Washington (1-1)

The Huskies have some defensive issues, but will rebound against Portland State.

8. Arizona State(2-0)

So far, two-QB system has been working out for Sun Devils.

9. Utah (1-1)

No better time than a rivalry game to prove things aren't so gruesome.

10. California (1-1)

The idea of this team playing at Ohio State … shudder.

11. Washington State (1-1)

Fans should get paid to watch putrid Cougars take on winless UNLV on Friday.

12. Colorado (0-2)

There's a quarterback controversy in Boulder, which nobody cares about because Peyton Manning couldn't save this team.
