The Stanley Cup's annual victory tour will include a Utah stop on Aug. 30.
That's the date assigned to Los Angeles Kings forward Trevor Lewis, a Salt Lake City native. Hockey tradition dictates that each member of the winning team gets possession of the Cup for 24 hours during the offseason.
A former Brighton High School player, Lewis played a key role for the Kings in the playoffs.
He played consistently in helping to kill penalties and posted three goals and six assists in 20 postseason games, including two goals in a 6-1 victory over New Jersey in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals.
Aug. 30 is a Thursday, the same day when Utah, BYU and Utah State open the college football season with home games.
