Whitney Holm, a senior third baseman on Utah women’s softball team, was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Pacific Region Second Team on Thursday.
"Whitney had a fantastic year," Utah coach Amy Hogue said. "She led our team in almost every offensive category for the entire season. We are all so proud of her."

Holm, Spanish Fork, led the Utes with a .381 batting average, 10 home runs, 43 RBI, 61 hits and a .644 slugging percentage. She was second on the team this season with 15 multi-hit games, including two or more hits in five straight games. Holm strung together a team-high 11-game hit streak from Feb. 25 through Mar. 10.
