Wilton, Conn. • Senior forward Erin Dalley earned national recognition Wednesday as she was named to the Soccer America Women’s Team of the Week for games played last week, the first Ute honored by the magazine since 2005.

The award follows a two-goal clutch performance over the weekend in which Dalley netted the tying goal in Utah’s 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Arizona State, then tallied the game winner in the Utes’ 3-1 win against Arizona on Sunday. She also assisted on the insurance goal against the Wildcats.

Dalley is the first Utah player since Adele Letro on Sept. 15, 2005, to be named to the Soccer America Team of the Week. Earlier this week, Dalley was also selected as the Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, becoming the first Ute to earn a weekly honor in women’s soccer as a member of the new conference.

Dalley has scored in three of Utah’s last four games and leads the team in points with 10, goals with 4, game-winning goals with two, shots with 26 and shots-on-goal with 13. She is also tied for second in assists with two.

Through three Pac-12 games, Dalley leads the conference, or is tied for the top spot, in seven statistical categories. She is ranked No. 1 in points with six and points per game with two and is tied at No. 1 in goals with two, goals per game with .67 average, assists with two, assists per game with a .67 average, and game winning goals with one. She also ranks No. 3 in total shots and shots per game.

Utah has won five straight matches and seven of its last eight, including a 3-0-0 conference start in its inaugural season as a member of the Pac-12. Utah recently moved up to No. 6 in the NSCAA Pacific Region rankings.

The Utes are back in action this weekend as they head northwest for a Friday match at Washington State and a Sunday tilt at Washington.
